Community Education

The Foundation has devised programmes to provide education and knowledge to students in semi-urban and rural areas. The programmes are conducted through the Foundations Knowledge-on-Wheels, Libraries and e-Learning Facilities.


The Foundation has customised fully equipped with state-of-the-art Knowledge-on Wheels vehicles which visit schools in the semi-urban and rural areas. Each of these vehicles has a trained teacher and is fitted with
  • - Six computers with internet access
  • - An exhaustive collection of books and other educational material on a variety of topics aimed at children on General Knowledge, Science, Nature etc.
  • - Television Screens and Projectors, when the Knowledge-on-Wheels reaches a school, a learning session begins with Yoga followed by ice-breaker games. The schedule for the rest of the day includes time for reading and an interactive personality development session. The teacher, who is trained at Aptech, enables students understand the basics of computers.

Public Libraries

The Foundation conducts Vocational Workshops in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The duration of these residential workshops depend on the skill set being imparted.

The format of these residential workshops includes skill development depending on the needs of the participants. These workshops include Tailoring, IT and computer training etc. These workshops are conducted at no cost to the participants and certificates are issued on completion.

The Foundation also organizes workshops for teachers, cooks, coordinators etc. A typical module at the workshop for cooks is cooking techniques, hygiene and safety. Another is on proper food storage and handling.

The Foundation also ensures that there is ample time for recreation during the workshops in the form of games, group activities, movie screenings etc.
